Dr Rosi Sexton isn’t your typical MMA star, firstly she’s female and there aren’t many women who’d be prepared to enter the ultra-tough world of MMA. Secondly she’s probably one of the most intelligent human beings I’ve ever met, holding a first class maths degree as well as a degree in theoretical computer science. PhD are proud to have Dr Rosi as part of our PhD Femme expert panel, those of you seeking more strength, endurance and stamina can learn so much from this inspiring athlete.

Training Schedule- 3 weeks before fight up until fight day

Weight training - power phase (olympic lifts, Multi-joint work- squats, snatches, Power cleans)
Stand up sparring with takedowns
Tuesday
Wrestling takedowns
Submission grappling class, followed by MMA sparring and conditioning rounds on the floor bag and bungee harness
Wednesday
Weight training - power phase
Bagwork and kickboxing sparring
 
Thursday
Boxing
MMA drills and sparring, followed by conditioning rounds on the floor bag and bungee harness
Friday
Weight training - power phase
 
 
Saturday
Rest and light stretching
 
 
Sunday
